In over 20 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve launched three, six and seven-figure businesses of my own, and for the past 3 years (with a little hiatus for that pesky COVID pandemic), I’ve traveled the world, taking my business with me.

I’ve taught thousands of students and counting how to start and ramp up their own business, creating a consistent flow of high-quality leads that turn into perfect clients.

So, how did I get here?

When I was growing up, I dreamed of going to college, getting a “good” job, and living in a house with more than one bathroom! My Dad was a 3rd generation farmer in Iowa, and life was good, but money wasn’t exactly flowing for my formative years.

My parents both had that farmer work ethic. Work hard to get ahead, and anything worth doing was worth doing right. Trouble was, what I heard was “Anything worth doing has to be perfect.”

So, I became obsessed with doing everything (the more the better) in perfection. Perfect grades, all the extra-curricular activities, awards, and reinforcement to keep raising the bar.

I was tailor-made for the 60, 70, or even 80-hour workweeks of Corporate life and that commitment to perfection paid off. Before I hit 30, I was the youngest VP in Marketing by far, running huge teams and billion-dollar businesses.

But on the inside, I wasn’t happy. I was sick of the endless meetings, corporate politics, and meaningless work. And forget about a personal life. Who had time!

Then one day, I realized that I’d had enough. I couldn’t spend another day doing something that gave me zero fulfillment and zero free time.

I did the unthinkable and quit my multi-six figure C-Suite job…

…with no plan in place. Yikes!

And guess what?

In the next two years I launched not one, but three successful businesses, taking one of them to over 7 figures.

But it wasn’t easy.

In the last 20+ years I’ve implemented virtually every strategy out there to build an online, service-based business, some off the charts successful and some a dead flop.

I learned the hard way how to do the right things in the right order, saving tons of time, money, and frustration.

A few years ago, I sold my home and put the possessions I kept in storage to travel the world, taking my business with me.

And I haven’t looked back.

• • I’m an Iowa farm girl who grew up in a town of 1,500 people. And yes, we pretty much all knew each other.
  • I love mindless crime mysteries, traveling virtually anywhere, and my cat (who lives with my Mom when I travel!).
  • I’m a self-proclaimed recovering perfectionist who has learned the hard way that “done is better than perfect”.
